Brilliant to see the girls back out there, playing and smiling after 8 weeks without a game. They put together some lovely football, but it was one of those days where every mistake got punished and it finished 4–1.

No pressure from us — first game back, rust to shake off, and they’ll settle over the next few fixtures. When we got hold of the ball, the girls transitioned really well, and we know exactly what to sharpen in training.

Our goal came from Scarlett, linking superbly with Sofia before a tidy finish. Great to get off the mark straight away.

Huge appreciation to parents for keeping the support positive. Mistakes will happen — that’s football — and this group learns fast.

They’re a fantastic group to coach and we’re excited to watch them develop this season. 👍
