On this day, 27th November, we celebrate the proud heritage of our county. Lancashire Day marks the moment in 1295 when King Edward I summoned representatives from Lancashire to Westminster for what became known as the Model Parliament โ the very beginning of democracy in Britain.
Centuries later, the tradition was revived, and since 1996, town criers across the county have proclaimed the Lancashire Day declaration, reminding us of our historic boundaries and our identity as Lancastrians.
For Oswaldtwistle St Maryโs FC, itโs more than history โ itโs about carrying forward the values of resilience, teamwork, and community that Lancashire has always stood for.
โฝโค๏ธ From the red rose to the football pitch, weโre proud to be part of this story.
