Last weekend saw our Under 13s face a formidable Blackburn Eagles side—one that finished high in the top division last season. It was always going to be a tough test, and our girls showed heart and determination from the first whistle to the last.

Despite a challenging first half where the opposition found the net multiple times, our girls never dropped their heads. The second half was a testament to their resilience, with every player digging deep to keep the scoreline down and fight for every ball.

🧤 Isla was outstanding in goal, pulling off a string of impressive saves and staying composed right to the final whistle.  
🛡️ Tilly, up against a player twice her size, showed incredible strength and bravery—shielding the ball, making key clearances, and never backing down.  
🎯 Our goal came from a moment of brilliance—a superb through ball from Madison that Lissy latched onto and smashed past the keeper with confidence.

It was a tough match, no doubt—but one to learn from, grow through, and build upon. The girls showed character, courage, and flashes of quality that will serve them well in the season ahead.
