The Saints U13s continued their impressive start to the season with a commanding 4–1 win on the road against a strong Haslingden Ladies and Girls side.

Despite facing a tactically sharp and physical opponent, Ossy held firm. Keeper Harry Di Francesco set the tone early with a confident save and pinpoint distribution to Toby Taylor, who threaded a clever ball through to Alfie Clegg—just inches from opening the scoring.

Moments later, Harry Stewart lit up the pitch with a stunning solo effort, beating two defenders and rifling a shot into the top corner from 25 yards.
1–0 Ossy.

Denys Holden doubled the lead with his second goal in as many games, capping off a dominant first half.
Half-time: 2–0 Ossy.

Haslingden came out firing after the break, working slick triangles through midfield and testing the defence with multiple shots on target. But Di Francesco was equal to every challenge, backed by a rock-solid back line of Caleb Smith, Brad Baron, and Noel Foley—each relentless in the tackle and vocal in their leadership.

Midfield maestros Thomas Taylor and Harley Barton controlled the centre, releasing wingers Stewart and Riley Naylor with precision. Taylor then bagged his first goal of the season to make it three.

A late deflection denied the clean sheet, but Ossy responded with more heroics between the sticks and a second goal from Stewart to seal the win.
Final score: 4–1 Ossy.

With no subs, a full-size pitch, and relentless rain, the boys showed incredible resilience, teamwork, and heart to overcome the odds.
