A tough result to take this weekend as our U13 girls hosted a full-strength Clitheroe Wolves Purple side. With illness in the camp and a few players missing, the odds were stacked—but the Saints showed grit, heart, and togetherness from first whistle to last.

âš˝ First Half Highlights
Clitheroe capitalised on early counterattacks, but our girls refused to fold. Their persistence paid off when a goal kick landed at Gabriella’s feet—who struck it first time from near the halfway line, lobbing the keeper with sublime precision. A moment of brilliance that lifted the team and the crowd alike.

🩹 Second Half Challenges
With no subs available and Madison forced off through injury, the girls played the second half a player down. Yet they battled on, showing incredible character and teamwork across the pitch.

đź’Ş Standout Performances
- Isla, fearless in goal, pulled off a string of saves—including one with her face—and commanded her box with confidence.
- Lissy wore the captain’s armband with pride, leading by example and keeping spirits high.
- Mayara, Madison & Tilly were defensive warriors, working tirelessly to contain the opposition.
- Poppie, Alana, Gabriella & Charlie drove the ball forward with intent, creating chances and keeping the pressure on.

🎖️ Player of the Match (OSMFC): Gabriella – for her stunning goal and tireless midfield play
