Our newly formed Under 9s team played their first-ever 7-a-side friendly under the Oswaldtwistle St Mary's banner โ and what a debut it was. On home turf, the players soaked up the experience, buzzing with excitement as they gathered for team talks before kick-off and again at half-time. The atmosphere was electric, with smiles all around.
From the first whistle, we pressed with intent, playing some brilliant football and carving out chances that we made count. On a pitch that felt huge, every player gave it their all. Both coaches couldnโt be prouder of the effort, teamwork, and spirit on display.

Jude took the honours but, in a true show of team spirit, passed it on to Mason, our goalkeeper. Mason had a tough start adjusting to the size of the nets, but grew in confidence as the game went on โ pulling off some brilliant saves that kept us in it.
